Great article. I think another important link in this philosophical tradition on the right is Aufheben (featured in Hegel and influenced nazism), or to create through destruction. In the sea of fertility tetrology Mishima explains how a man can gain identity by heroic death and prove himself. At one point during Runaway Horses, the parable of a mouse that believes itself to be a cat kills itself in order to not be eaten by a cat is used to analogize this mentality. Essentially in order to prove yourself a man and a hero you must die to the world and be willing to die a dramatic death.
